Myrrh is a relatively unexploited material in today’s perfumery. In fact, myrrh is one of the ancestral materials of perfumery, dedicated to divination in Ancient Egypt. Today grown in Yemen, Somalia, and Ethiopia, its essential oil reveals a woody, fruity, and licorice-like essence.
Rebatchi sought to enhance its woody and fruity essence with notes like pink pepper, incense, and patchouli. The fragrance balances ancient materials with modern musks, creating a dark and woody scent softened by a powdery veil. It’s a Middle East-inspired fragrance with cosmopolitan appeal.
