Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger launches two new scents as a part of its Les Inédits Collection
Inspired by the fragrant Orange tree that stood ground in the middle of their garden, Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger was founded in 1998 by Virginie and Antoine Roux. However, the two new spring 2014 releases in Collection les Inédites, composed by Jean-Claude Gigadot are dedicated to the magic of other flowers. Rose Irisée and Violette Sacrée both feature flowers that are Victorian favourites but present them in an amazingly modern manner.
Violette Sacrée
With a name that literally means sacred violets, the scent lives up to the promise. An elixir that’s both complex and textured with a touch of mystery that hypes up the scent to a new level altogether. The perfume opens up with the fresh tones of bright Bergamot that leads deep into the woods where wild violets bloom under a verdant canopy of violet leaves. The heart notes strum a beautiful melody composed of sweet orange that descends into a blend of Lily of the valley, Rose and Honeyed Orange Blossom. Tying the symphony with a robust bass are core ingredients like Vetiver, Cedar, Musk and Wood Accord.
Rose Irisée
An iridescent Rose perhaps sounds as exotic as this scent tries to encapsulate. Unapologetically sensual and Unexpectedly carnal, this perfume should be classified as the eighth sin for its sheer indulgence but thankfully isn’t. The lushness of a rose in full bloom is placed in contrast to the aromatic Wormwood and warm Cedar with a touch of citrusy Orange to throw in some fun to the mix. A hint of almond gives way to a sensual, rich Orris and exotic Ylang-Ylang, deriving from the core of the rose to form the heart of the perfume before melting into the warm comforts of Musk, Cedar wood, Patchouli, Vanilla and Sandalwood.
