Cate Blanchett has signed a $10.4 million deal to appear in advertisements for Giorgio Armani’s women’s fragrances
The 43-year old Oscar winning star, Cate Blanchett, has signed a $10.4 million deal to appear in advertisements for Giorgio Armani’s women’s fragrances. The new advertisement with Blanchett will be rolled out later this year. Blanchett has never been so much for endorsements and this will be her first major cosmetics deal signed in nine years. It was only in 2004 that she was the face of skincare range SK-II, owned by Procter & Gamble, in Australia and New Zealand.
The multi-million dollar Armani deal for its women’s fragrances was revealed by the New York Post’s Page Six column.
Blanchett was once described by Armani as a person who ”epitomises the woman for whom I design….Cate is one of the greatest stage and screen acting talents of our time. The integrity and dedication which she brings to her work is reflected in the remarkable intensity of her performances,” he had said.
Clearly, he also feels she is the perfect face of the brand for its new range of women’s fragrances as well.
