Liquid Gold: Introducing Atkinsons’ new Oud collection available exclusively at Bloomingdale’s, Dubai
The exotic cynosure of Crown Prince Mohammed Ali Ibrahim’s first fragrances from the 1920’s are the heart and soul of Atkinsons’ new Oud collection, now available exclusively in the Middle East at Bloomingdale’s, Dubai.
The ensuing cosmopolitan bouquets are a richly fragrant entente between the Orient and bonny old England, which the Atkinsons house is now pleased to revive in two sumptuously packaged imperial eau de parfum: Oud Save the King and Oud Save the Queen.
Oud Save The King
A dandy concoction of Oriental exoticism and proper British posh, Oud Save the King is as charismatic and extravagantly elegant as the glamorous Crown Prince who inspired it. Freshly infused earl grey bergamot and iris à la boutonnière brighten the majesty of oudh, which is further exalted by the plushness of suede and an exhilarating cortège of wood essences. A scintillating dialogue between the hieratic scents of England and the Orient, Oud Save the King is a fragrance of supreme luxury, to be worn with straight-backed posture, stiff-upper lip and a most regal jauntiness and insouciance.
Traditionally blended with patchouli, the signature oudh accord in Oud Save the King has been magnificently modernised with Cypriol, a natural ingredient that grows in the foothills of the Himalayas. Cypriol exudes a powerful woodiness that is subtly balanced with watery, leathery facets. Deepened with the precious wood essences of cedar wood from Atlas, Gurjun balm from Indonesia and Gaiac wood from Paraguay this accord imparts an incomparable charismatic signature to the fragrance.
Oud Save The Queen
A spirited Scheherazade of oriental charms and ever-so-English subtlety, Oud Save the Queen is as captivating as the Hollywood enchantress who inspired its creation. The beguiling aura of oudh is femininely wreathed in exquisite white petals of Jasmine and Orange Blossom, and intriguingly sparkled with notes of Earl Grey Bergamot and clove. Created by perfumer, Francis Deleamont (Firmenich), Oud Save The Queen is a majestic fragrance of sublimely sovereign beauty, destined to adorn our most incandescent seductresses, our most precious jewels of all-consuming and rapturous love.
At the heart of the Oud Save the Queen’s oudh accord is a luminous alchemy between Indonesian patchouli and Norlimbanol™, the latter an emblematic creation by Firmenich whose clear dry woody facets are reminiscent of amber and patchouli. A precious essence of Gaiac wood deepens the accord with smoky tonalities while tonka beans add roundness and an ambery sensuality.
Atkinsons’ Oud collection, Oud Save The King and Oud Save The Queen, can now be found in the Middle East, exclusively at Bloomingdale’s-Dubai in the Atkinsons Fragrance shop-in-shop located in the Beauty Department on the Ground Floor, The Dubai Mall.
