Celine Dion Loves Chanel No.5

Celion Dion loves wearing Chanel No.5 as her daytime scent.

Céline Dion famously loves wearing Chanel No.5 which is well-suited to daytime wear. Chanel enlisted the talents of Russian perfumer Ernest Beaux to create a scent that “smells like a woman, not a flower bed.” Never one to conform to rules, Chanel wanted to offer women something that went beyond a soliflore – a scent made up of one or two simple notes – which was typical of the time. She wanted “an artificial fragrance like a dress, something crafted. I am a seamstress. I don’t want rose or lily-of-the-valley, I want a composed fragrance.” Today, a bottle of Chanel No. 5 is sold worldwide every 30 seconds.

Céline Dion is a Quebecois Canadian singer. She is renowned for her powerful, technically skilled vocals, and remains the best-selling Canadian recording artist and one of the best-selling artists of all time with record sales of over 200 million worldwide.

Dion’s music has been influenced by genres ranging from rock and R&B to gospel and classical. Her recordings are mainly in French and English, although she also sings in Spanish, Italian, German, Latin, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese. While her releases have often received mixed critical reception, she is regarded as one of pop music’s most influential vocalists. She has won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Billboard named her the “Queen of Adult Contemporary” for having the most number-one songs on the radio format for a female artist.

Dion has been referred to as the “Queen of Power Ballads” by the media. She is regarded as one of pop music’s most influential vocalists. Soprano Linda Lister described her as the reigning “Queen of Pop” for her influence over the recording industry during the 1990s.
