Prada Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry Debuts with Zendaya as Its New Global Face

Prada introduces a new chapter of Paradoxe with Sweet Chemistry, a fruity-floral fragrance built around blackcurrant, orange blossom and a creamy neroli accord, alongside Zendaya’s debut as the line’s global ambassador.

The Prada Paradoxe universe enters a sweeter new chapter with Prada Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry, a fruity-floral fragrance that explores the interplay of fruit, flowers and creamy accords.

The launch also marks a new chapter in the house’s relationship with Zendaya, who has been appointed the new global ambassador for the Paradoxe fragrance line. The campaign centres on the message “Never the same, always myself,” reflecting the collection’s emphasis on individuality, complexity and constant transformation.

Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins, the campaign positions Zendaya as a natural embodiment of the Paradoxe identity—balancing contrasting qualities such as strength and vulnerability, confidence and softness, while remaining firmly individual.

Zendaya also brings an existing connection to the fragrance. The actress has previously spoken about wearing Paradoxe before joining the Prada Beauty family, making her appointment a continuation of an established relationship with the scent rather than simply a new celebrity partnership.

The Chemistry of Sweetness
At the centre of Sweet Chemistry is Prada’s exploration of what it describes as the “chemistry of sweetness.” The composition brings together fruity richness, luminous white florals and a creamy interpretation of neroli.

Created by Antoine Maisondieu, Nadège Le Garlantezec and Shyamala Maisondieu, the same perfumers behind the original Prada Paradoxe, the fragrance is structured around three key accords: blackcurrant syrup, orange blossom absolute and neroli milk.

The opening combines orange blossom and blackcurrant, creating a bright fruity-floral introduction. At the heart, neroli, vanilla and orange blossom add floral radiance alongside a soft gourmand warmth. The composition ultimately settles into a distinctive neroli milk accord, giving the fragrance its creamy signature.

Sweet Chemistry — Notes

Heart: Neroli, Vanilla, Orange Blossom
Base: Neroli Milk

Sweet Chemistry joins an expanding Paradoxe collection that includes the original Paradoxe Eau de Parfum, Paradoxe Virtual Flower, Paradoxe Intense and Paradoxe Radical Essence.

While each interpretation explores a different facet of the Paradoxe identity, Sweet Chemistry places greater emphasis on fruitiness and creamy sweetness, while retaining the orange-blossom and neroli signatures associated with the collection.

Visually, the new fragrance remains faithful to the collection’s recognisable triangular bottle, but introduces a vivid purplish-pink juice that gives Sweet Chemistry its own distinctive presence on the shelf.

With Zendaya stepping into the role of global face and Sweet Chemistry introducing a softer, sweeter interpretation of the signature Paradoxe aesthetic, Prada is positioning the latest chapter around a familiar Paradoxe idea: embracing different sides of oneself without being defined by any single one.
