Diptyque Vetyverio is a whiff of the lush forests where in the shade of the tall trees, grows the aromatic fronds of Vetiver
A bird, known as the Java Sparrow, hides in the cool of the forest, amidst dense trees and soothing foliage. In the middle of clearings graced with tropical flowers, the eye discerns groves of long, slender leaves of fragrant Vetiver. And from this black and white, somehow perceived in color, rises an image of profuse, blooming vegetation that is exquisitely aromatic and dazzles the senses. The scent is imagined to be a winged mythical creature named Vetyverio that is subtle, sensitive, and captures the power of unquestionable elegance.
The Vetyverio fragrance blurs the lines between the masculine and feminine by blending archetypal raw materials of Vetiver and feminine floral bouquets. The flowers, like many of Diptyque’s creations, are unexpected and take the user on a surprising journey. Turkish Rose contributes sensuality while Peppery Geranium from Egypt provides a cheerful touch. When combined, they are the perfect counterpoint to the virile slant one would expect from Vetiver.
It opens with fruity citrus notes of Mandarin, Grapefruit, Lemon and Bergamot, followed by the floral bouquet of Ylang-Ylang, Rose and Geranium and spices such as Carrot seed, Nutmeg and Clove. The base is composed of dry Cedar, Vetiver and Musk.
