CPL Aromas Introduces Palo Santo

CPL Aromas has launched a new fragrance into its unique AromaSpace technology palette: Palo Santo AromaSpace. This new addition not only enhances our product range but also highlights our commitment to sustainability.

Palo Santo, often referred to as “Holy Wood,” holds a sacred place in South American traditions. It is important to note that the trees used for Palo Santo are protected; it is illegal to cut them down. The essential oil derived from Palo Santo is traditionally sourced from branches that have naturally fallen and aged, making the extraction process respectful to the environment. The Palo Santo AromaSpace base offers a way to enjoy the distinctive scent without impacting these cherished trees, ensuring to honour of the cultural significance and environmental guidelines associated with them.

Traditionally, Palo Santo is used in ceremonies, known for its resinous, woody aroma with refreshing minty undertones. The team, including expert perfumers Kevin Mathys and Celine Herbette, alongside the analytical team, have meticulously crafted this AromaSpace base to encapsulate the authentic essence of Palo Santo. The result is a beautiful blend featuring woody, aromatic, and mint notes with a soft, lactonic aspect that captures the spirit of this sacred wood.

This AromaSpace joins a palette of 35 ingredients where the headspace technology and perfumer expertise have been used to create beautiful true-to-nature scents, whether it is a fruit that cannot be extracted or an experience like rain on the pavement.
