International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) hosted the second edition of the Speed Smelling™ event in Dubai early this month
The event was opened by Hussam Yaccoub, General Manager of IFF Dubai, and Sabrya Meflah, VP Regional General Manager Fine Fragrance, EAME. Dominique Ropion, Sophie Labbé, Aliénor Massenet and Julien Rasquinet were the IFF Global Star Perfumers present in Middle East for the event. The four were joined by Jean-Louis Sieuzac, the exclusive perfumer consultant for IFF in the region.
Each of the IFF perfumers were given less than seven minutes to present their creations developed exclusively for the event. While Julien’s fragrance focused on amber, Dominique’s was centered around oudh oil and Sophie’s was inspired by the Dubai sea. On the other hand, Aliénor created a perfume around a surprising olive note and Jean-Louis Sieuzac’s creation was inspired by the famous Fouquet café on the Champs Elysées.

The event also witnessed IFF’s LMR intriguing guests with its newly introduced oudh oil and Fragrance Ingredients division presenting the Amber Xtreme™ molecule to the audience for the first time.
